First incorporated as a nonprofit in 2007, Mission: St. Louis has grown and expanded their impact city-wide. With a vision to address systemic poverty and its deep rooted issues, Mission: St. Louis helps individuals use their power and influence to break cycles of poverty. 

Mission: St. Louis believes education is a crucial component to laying a foundation for healthy families, communities, and our city. Mission: St. Louis has developed a school program that helps identify students falling behind or in need of additional resources, and then works to create individualized plans to ensure they meet grade level by the time they reach high school. 

Because of their time spent serving students, Mission: St. Louis has also been led to workforce development, primarily working with people 22-35 to create a sustainable workforce, as well as stabilizing the workforce by providing resources that break barriers that keep men and women from maintaining prolonged employment. As they look to the future, Mission: St. Louis hopes to open a workforce and wellness center in North St. Louis, continuing growth in soft skills, hard skills, and entrepreneurship while also addressing trauma, mental health, legal services and  public health to help the people they serve begin a sustainable career pathway. 

Mission: St. Louis cares deeply for the economic development and economic viability of North St. Louis. Their mission continues to focus on creating relationships and stabilizing forces that keep families in the workplace, creating a sustainable workforce that has generational impact on the deep rooted issues of poverty. They are addressing needs that are not being met and dismantling the cycle of poverty.
