Farm: Guinope

Origin: Honduras

Elevation: 1350 MASL

Process: Natural

Coffee Farm Facts:

This coffee comes from a small municipality called El Paraiso that is located within the state of Guinope, which is in Central Honduras. The specific farm is owned by a farmer named Roger Orlando. He is proud of his small 1.5 hectares farm. Up until 2012, Orlando was a potato farmer before a plague came and wiped out his crop.

Orlando switched to coffee and struggled to make connections due to his 2 day travel to sell his crop. In 2018, our importer Stone X connected with Orlando and helped get his farm onto their LIFT program. With the help of the LIFT program, Orlando now has the knowedlge and resources and can connect with businesses like ours!

VIETNAM

Farm: Da Lat

Origin: Vietnam

Elevation: 1400-1600 MASL

Process: Wet Hulled

Coffee Farm Facts:

This coffee is grown in the central-southeastern part of the country, in a region characterized by year-round cool weather and volcanic soil. Vietnam is a country of smallholder farms, averaging 1-3 hectares, and famers do not process their own coffee here but instead sell red cherry to wet mills. Our importer, StoneX, works with these wet mills to create strong quality programs.

This farm is part of the LIFT coffee program, which means they get aid to help raise both the quality of life and of coffee. This specific LIFT group is made up of 30+ women owned and managed farms. These producers receive technical assistance, free of charge, from agronomists to help improve quality across the entire supply chain.
